Rue Bennett's interventions are two events that took place at the Bennett and Howard houses a day after Maddy Perez's birthday party in "Stand Still Like the Hummingbird". The second intervention also exposed Cassie Howard and Nate Jacobs' secret relationship.

"Stand Still Like the Hummingbird"[]
The first intervention went unsuccessful. It took place at Bennett home with Rue and her mother arguing in Rue's room. Rue then moves to Gia's room, yelling at her because she thinks Gia told their mother. After Rue and Leslie get into a physical altercation, Leslie threatens to call the police which throws Rue off and sends her spiraling looking for the suitcase that Laurie gave her. She tells her mom that it wasn't her suitcase and that she needs it back. After breaking down and apologizing, Rue asks her mom what happened to the pills and Jules tells Rue that she flushed them down the toilet.
To Rue's surprise, Jules and Elliot were in the living/dining room listening to the whole thing. Rue yells at the pair asking them why they told on her. She informs Jules that Elliot is also an addict and to not believe anything he says. After assaulting Elliot, Rue moves on to Jules who tells Rue that she told Leslie because she loves Rue and wants her to get better. Rue tells Jules that she's dead to her and that she gets physically ill looking at Jules.
After Rue breaks down in the hallway, she agrees to let Leslie take her to the hospital. On the way there, Rue starts to tell her mother and Gia that she relapsed the right when she left rehab[1] and after changing her mind, she hops out of the car and runs to Fezco's house and when he doesn't answer, she makes her way to the Howard home where the second intervention takes place.
After Rue asks to use the bathroom, she returns to the foyer to see Leslie, Suze, Maddy, Kat and Lexi facing towards her. After realizing what's happening, Rue sits atop the stairs listening to Leslie. She then tells everyone that she tried to stay clean but she can't. Cassie then appears from the lower level of the house and tells Rue to take her sobriety one day at a time and not to rush it. This triggers Rue and she asks Cassie how long she had been having sex with Nate Jacobs. This shocks Cassie and everyone in the room, except Leslie who is focused on Rue. After Maddy finds out that Cassie and Nate have been hooking up since after New Year, she cusses Cassie out. The whole situation makes Cassie cry and she runs up the stairs, Suze, Kat, Maddy and Lexi in toe. While the girls are piling up the stairs, Rue slips out and runs.[2]
