In a flashback, it is revealed that Maddy discovered the disc hiding in one of Nate's books. Nate is suddenly flooded with memories of his life and begins convulsing. After he calms, the sound of a baby crying can be heard as he smiles.

The morning after, Lexi notices that Cassie hadn't washed Nate's blood off her legs. Maddy calls Cassie, telling her about the text Nate had sent her as she stares blankly with guilt.

Rue tells Elliot about her father, he asks if his passing is the reason why she started doing drugs, which she denies. Elliot asks if they should be friends, thinking they bring out the worst in each other, but Rue is okay with that.

Nate admits to Cassie that he has feelings for her, but expresses regret at them hooking up. An emotional Cassie runs off. Nate finds her in one of the buildings and they hookup, Nate asking Cassie how she could ever look Maddy in the eye again.
