Faye is a recurring character in the second season of Euphoria. She is portrayed by Chloe Cherry.

Biography

Not much is known about her past, other than she moved to California in order to be a singer or actress, but then met Custer, who lured her into sex trafficking and drugs.

Personality

In her first appearance, Faye is shown to be airheaded and somewhat callous: she expressed confusion over being told it was New Year's Eve and treated Rue rather rudely when she expressed discomfort over doing heroin.

Relationships

Faye was in a relationship with Custer before his death. A likely customer of his and supplier for her heroin, she went with him to dealing, with one instance on New Year's at Laurie resulting in her being put in danger and forced to strip to show she was not wearing a wire. Their toxicity was further established when Custer left Faye's face cut and bleeding when the police arrived at their motel to arrest him, pushing her through a vent to escape while declaring how much he loved her. Over time, Faye begins to lose her trust in Custer, vocalizing how he is now snitching to the police about Fez and Ashtray about Mouse's death to avoid his own consequences. In the final moments before his death, when he reveals to her that the SWAT team will arrive and he is trying to make Fez confess, she secretly warns her roommate and friend to keep quiet, indicating that this is a trap, as well as lying out loud that Custer knew it was Laurie who killed Mouse, much to his denial. When Ashtray stabs Custer's throat, Faye is shocked by the kill, but does not anguish over his demise.

Fezco and Ashtray were her former roommates, letting her stay with them and their Grandma when Custer was arrested. Over time, she grows to like the brothers, shifting her loyalty to them when Custer tried to get them arrested.

Physical appearance

Faye is a white girl with wide blue eyes, pale skin, and full lips. She is 5'8 in stature and is skinny in build.

Her style is characterised by girly 2000's fashion and often wears pinks and low-rise denim.

• It is possible that Faye was named "Ami" pre-production since casting agency JV8INC posted a casting call for a character named Ami with a description similar to Faye: "Drug addict. Stripper. Hates her boyfriend. Talks shit. Can't read a room. Can make a bad situation worse."
  • NYLON reported that American rapper Azealia Banks auditioned for the role of Ami.
