Barbara Linhares Ferreira is an American model and actress. She portrays Kat Hernandez in Euphoria.
She has earned attention and acclaim for her career as well as for being an outspoken supporter of the body positivity movement.
She is known for her roles as Kat in Euphoria, Bailey in Unpregnant and Ella in Divorce.
On August 24, 2022, Barbie announced her departure from Euphoria ahead of its third season.[1]

Ferreira was born in Queens, New York, but later moved to Maywood, New Jersey and attended Hackensack High School. She was raised by her Brazilian mother and grandmother. Her mother works as a chef.

- She learned of an American Apparel open casting call through Tumblr, which helped launch her modeling career.
- Sam Levinson worked closely with Ferreira and incorporated aspects of her unto Kat.
- According to the website Screenrant, Barbie had strong creative differences with the show's creator over her character, and walked off the set several times during filming for Season 2. Many of Euphoria Season 2's behind-the-scenes dramatics were revealed, including the arguments that certain stars may have had with Levinson. In detail, the actress reportedly spoke with Levinson about the direction that her character was headed, explaining, "Her dislike for the story". However, the conversation evidently went south which led to the actress storming off set and Levinson ultimately cutting back her scenes in the show.[2]
- Concerns over Ferreira's character have been shared as fans immediately noticed Kat taking a complete back seat in the show's ensemble in favor of other characters. Combined with the fact that Ferreira didn't attend the premiere of Euphoria Season 2 with the rest of her castmates.
